Evesham Garden Centre Triumph with Multiple GCA Awards22nd September 2015
Evesham Garden Centre, have won an impressive 15 awards at the prestigious Garden Centre Association (GCA) Awards held at Stratford Garden Centre on 21st July 2015.
The centre won 11 Awards of Merit, two Midland Area Awards, a Highly Commended Award and are finalists in the Ruxley Rose Competition.
The Awards of Merit are based on the percentage scored in the centre's audit per department and represent good practice and standards throughout each department awarded. The awards won for Merit were for Catering, Hardy Plants, Checkout Area, Entrance & Exit, Bedding and Seasonal Plants, Garden Care, Outdoor Pots and Ornimentation, Indoor Lifestyle, Outdoor Living, Customer Service Points and Website.
The centre also won two Midland Area Awards for Best Indoor Lifestyle, Best Outdoor Living and Best Plant Area in the Midlands.
In addition, Evesham Garden Centre also won the Highly Commended Award for overall inspection. They scored over 80% in the review based on the centre as a whole.
Evesham, who are part of the Blue Diamond Garden Centre Group, also ranked as National Finalists for the Ruxley Rose Competition. The winner of this competition is hailed as the best plant area in the UK and finalists are chosen per region with Evesham ranking as finalists in the category of Midlands Region. The centre will be visited in September by the Ruxley Rose Nation Judge and the winner will be announced at the GCA Winter Conference held at The Grand Hotel in Brighton from 24th – 27th January 2015.

The GCA represents nearly 200 garden centres nationwide. Through sharing information and its inspection programme, the GCA help members to achieve high standards in customer service, plant quality and reliability.
