Your tree will be part of the Buckinghamshire Reforestation Initiative - a project transforming former intensive wheat fields with depleted soils and low biodiversity into a thriving native woodland.
This carefully designed scheme focuses on true ecological restoration. A rich mix of native UK species - including hawthorn, blackthorn, rowan, hazel, elderberry, holly, alder and beech - is being planted to rebuild soil health, improve water retention and restore long-term fertility. Deep-rooted trees will help regenerate the land while creating vital habitats for insects, birds and small mammals, supporting a resilient, self-sustaining ecosystem that absorbs carbon and strengthens biodiversity.
The project also supports local communities by creating green jobs and promoting sustainable forestry. As the woodland establishes, it will open to the public, featuring a foraging walk through fruit-bearing hedgerows and an adjacent regenerative farming area demonstrating best-practice land stewardship and climate-smart planting.
