Covid-19 - Official Statement17th March 2020
Dear Blue Diamond Customer
I wanted to take a moment to update our customers on how Blue Diamond as a business is managing the outbreak of Covid-19 in the UK.
First and foremost, our primary consideration is to ensure the health and wellbeing of our employees and customers. All the decisions we have made, and continue to make, are guided by Public Health England and we have closely aligned ourselves with the latest government advice and guidance.
We know that there is anxiety over Covid-19 and we appreciate the Governments priority in flattening the curve of cases therefore we have continued to introduce safety measures, particularly in the restaurants which go above and beyond our already high health and safety standards. We are working hard to ensure your visit is as enjoyable as always whilst at the same time taking sensible precautions.
Our team continue to be stringent around hygiene and daily cleaning regimes including thorough, frequent handwashing. We have also increased our cleaning in our restaurants, particularly for those areas and items touched regularly by team members and customers. Our staff are behaving responsibly and self-isolating when necessary.
Thank you for making Blue Diamond a part of your life and please note that our garden centres remain open. Every action we take will always be with you in mind. We are committed to upholding our commitment of providing a service to you and we shall do this safely. Trust that we are closely monitoring every development and will do everything within our power to ensure that Blue Diamond Garden Centres is a safe and inviting place for you all. Update: 20.3.20 - In line with Government guidelines, our cafes, restaurants and eateries will now close. The Channel Islands remain unaffected by these closures.
