‘Stronger Together’ Rose, Muscular Dystrophy UK Launch – RHS Chelsea 2025

Blue Diamond Garden Centres launched a new and exclusive charity rose at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025. The rose ‘Stronger Together’, will be sold at Blue Diamond Garden Centres across the UK and online to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy UK charity.
The launch proved to be a great success and attracted lots of positive attention. Martin Hywood - Partnerships Manager at Muscular Dystrophy UK and Debbie Hoods - Associate Director of High Value Engagement, joined the Blue Diamond Team on Press Day to share this prestigious event.
Speaking about the charity rose and relationship with Blue Diamond Garden Centres, Martin said:
“The rose’s name ‘Stronger Together’ really says what we’re all about as a charity. There are over 110,000 adults and children in the UK living with a muscle-wasting and weakening condition. I am one of those people and firmly believe in the power of community and that together we can change the future.
For me personally, this partnership is about more than the charity rose. My local Blue Diamond Garden Centre is somewhere I visit frequently with my family, and you should never underestimate what a difference it makes to have somewhere in your local area that is not only friendly and welcoming but completely wheelchair accessible.
On behalf of Muscular Dystrophy UK, I’d like to say a huge thank you to the Blue Diamond Group of Garden Centres for supporting us in this way. It’s exciting to see this partnership grow, and we can’t wait to see the ‘Stronger Together’ charity rose in centres across the country – helping to raise money as well as increasing awareness of the charity and people we support.”

Martin went on to say:
‘’As a charity, we promote the importance of the world being accessible for all, those living with a muscle wasting condition and indeed the wider disabled community.
The 'Stronger Together' rose is the perfect fit and shares the same values, it is an accessible pollinator, an open welcoming flower and this is our shared purpose with the Blue Diamond and Muscular Dystrophy UK partnership’’.
Martin, Debbie and the Blue Diamond team chatted with many celebrities about the work the charity does and the ‘Stronger Together’ Rose. Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Jo Brand, Ade Edmonson, Jennifer Saunders, Piers Morgan and Deborah Meaden to name but a few, all took great interest.
Dame Joanna Lumley, the renowned actress, presenter, author, television producer and activist was particularly taken with the rose and the excellent work the charity does. She spoke at length with Martin, Debbie and the Blue Diamond team and has since ordered several roses for her own personal garden.
In addition to the fund-raising aspect of the rose, Dame Joanna Lumley was especially interested to hear about how the rose is pollinator-friendly and attracts and supports wildlife.

‘Stronger Together’ is a floribunda rose, bred by Rosen Tantau. It can grow up to 100cm in height with clusters of fragrant, red flowers that have a white centre. This beautiful rose blooms in flushes throughout the season and because of its open form attracts bees and other pollinating insects. It has a bushy habit with upright growth and is ideal for beds and borders.
Breeder Synonym: Tan16512
The rose is available to order online or buy in Blue Diamond Garden Centres.
For every rose sold we will donate £1.
