Temporary General Assistant – Worlds End Garden Centre

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Temporary General Assistants to join the team at Worlds End Garden Centre.

We have a variety of temporary opportunities available, with a mix of hours and working patterns to suit the needs of the business. This may include weekdays, weekends and a combination of both, with flexibility preferred.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy garden centre, work as part of a friendly team and help create a great experience for our customers.

The Role

As a General Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the garden centre, helping to keep everything looking its best and ensuring customers receive a friendly and helpful service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing a warm welcome and assisting customers with their queries.

• Replenishing stock and keeping shelves and displays well presented.

• Helping with deliveries, stock movement and general merchandising.

• Keeping your department clean, tidy and organised.

• Supporting colleagues across different areas of the garden centre when required.

• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.

• Helping to ensure customers have a positive experience every time they visit.

About You

• Friendly, approachable and confident speaking to customers.

• Reliable, hardworking and happy to get stuck in.

• Flexible with working hours and able to work a variety of shifts.

• A good team player with a positive attitude.

• Well organised and able to work in a busy environment.

• Previous retail or customer service experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.
