Have you got a passion for plants and enjoy helping customers? We're looking for a Seasonal Plants General Assistant to join our team at Melbicks Garden Centre.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in plants who enjoys working in a busy retail environment and takes pride in keeping things looking their best.

The Role:

Working within our Seasonal Plants department, you'll play an important part in ensuring the department is well stocked, presented and maintained throughout the season.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Looking after a wide range of seasonal plants, ensuring they are watered, cared for and looking their best.

• Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising across the department.

• Helping customers with plant queries and providing advice where possible.

• Replenishing stock and keeping displays full and tidy.

• Supporting the wider garden centre team when needed.

• Making sure the department is clean, organised and welcoming for customers.

About You:

We're looking for someone who has a genuine interest in plants and enjoys working as part of a team. You'll need to be reliable, approachable and happy to get stuck in, as this is a hands-on role.

Previous experience working with plants or in a garden centre would be an advantage, but it's not essential. A willingness to learn, a positive attitude and good customer service skills are just as important.

The Details:

• 30 hours per week, worked over 5 days.

• Saturday working will be required.

• Initial 12-week contract, with the potential for a permanent position.
