Delivery Driver- Tunbridge Wells Garden Centre

Location: Blue Diamond Tunbridge Wells Garden Centre
Hours: 24 hours per week, including Saturdays

Blue Diamond Tunbridge Wells Garden Centre is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver to join the team.

This is an important customer-facing role, ensuring that purchases are delivered safely and efficiently while providing the high level of service our customers expect from Blue Diamond. You will be representing the garden centre out on the road, so a helpful attitude, good communication skills and a professional approach are essential.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering customer purchases to residential properties and businesses within the local area.

• Loading and unloading the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are handled safely and carefully.

• Planning and following delivery routes to ensure orders arrive on time.

• Checking delivery paperwork and confirming that the correct items are being delivered.

• Providing a friendly and helpful service to customers on arrival.

• Assisting customers with moving larger or heavier purchases where required.

• Carrying out routine vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and tidy.

• Reporting any vehicle defects, accidents or delivery issues to the relevant manager.

• Supporting the wider garden centre team with general duties when deliveries are quieter.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a full, valid UK driving licence.

• Is confident driving and navigating local delivery routes.

• Has a friendly and approachable manner with good customer service skills.

• Is reliable, organised and able to work independently.

• Is physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting and handling of goods.

• Takes pride in their work and looks after the vehicle and customers' purchases.

• Has a flexible approach to working hours and is happy to work Saturdays.

Previous delivery driving experience would be an advantage, although it is not essential as the right attitude and reliability are just as important.

Working Hours

The role is 24 hours per week, including Saturdays. Flexibility around working days and hours would be preferred to support the needs of the business.
