Temporary Christmas Tree & Plant Assistants- Mere Park Garden Centre

Location: Mere Park Garden Centre
Hours:

• Saturday: 9:00am – 5:30pm

• Sunday: 10:30am – 4:00pm

Contract: Temporary, finishing Sunday 27th December 2026.

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Temporary Plant Assistants to join our team at Mere Park Garden Centre over the Christmas period.

The role will primarily involve looking after our real Christmas trees, helping customers choose the right tree for their home and keeping the Christmas tree area looking tidy, well-stocked and presentable.

Key responsibilities:

• Looking after and maintaining our real Christmas trees.

• Helping customers choose and select their Christmas tree.

• Assisting with moving and handling trees where required.

• Keeping the plant and Christmas tree areas tidy and well presented.

• Providing friendly and helpful customer service.

• Supporting the wider Plants team with general duties when needed.

About you:

• Reliable, punctual and happy to get stuck in.

• Friendly and approachable with good customer service skills.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers.

• Physically fit, as the role will involve lifting and handling Christmas trees.

• Previous retail or garden centre experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
