Outdoor Leisure & Christmas Assistant- Redfields Garden Centre

Location: Redfields Garden Centre
Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours per week, including alternate weekends

An opportunity has arisen to join our team at Redfields Garden Centre as an Outdoor Leisure & Christmas Assistant.

The Role

This is a hands-on and varied role within our Outdoor Leisure & Christmas Department. You will play an important part in ensuring the department is well-stocked, beautifully presented and that every customer receives friendly, knowledgeable service.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating visual and inspirational displays to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and shop floor presentation.

• Assisting with the movement, assembly and merchandising of furniture and outdoor living products.

• Supporting carry-to-car services and assisting with customer deliveries when required.

• Providing excellent customer service and product advice.

• Processing sales accurately using the EPOS system and handling after-sales enquiries.

• Replenishing stock and ensuring products are correctly displayed and merchandised.

• Printing and displaying point-of-sale (POS) materials throughout the department.

• Following up on action points from reports and departmental floor walks.

• Supporting the Department Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.

• Has excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Enjoys working as part of a team.

• Has a proactive, positive and flexible approach to work.

• Takes pride in maintaining high retail standards.

• Is comfortable undertaking physical tasks, including lifting and moving furniture.

• Has good attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Is keen to learn about outdoor leisure products and seasonal ranges.

Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
