Warehouse Operative- Pollington Warehouse

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse operative.

About the role:

As a Warehouse operative you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient processing of all incoming container stock, booking in, storage and picking/despatching of outgoing orders, along with upkeep and overall site cleaning standards for the warehouse and yard. You will ensure that all stock is received and despatched on our system accurately to enable an accurate stock file and any errors are identified and resolved as quickly as possible.

Communication is a key part of this role; you will be working alongside the other Warehouse team members to ensure that deliveries are processed in accordance with stock requirements and all stock is managed as efficiently and effectively as possible.

About you:

To be a successful Warehouse Operative with the Blue Diamond Group you will:

• Have a strong eye for detail and be able to work with a very high level of accuracy
• Have experience of working in a busy warehouse goods-in / despatch department.
• Be flexible in your approach to dealing with a high level of incoming deliveries
• Have excellent communication skills (written and spoken English is a must)
• Require outstanding organisational skills to ensure efficiency in the processing of deliveries and in maintaining organised goods in area
• Be able to work well under pressure
• Have excellent prioritisation skills
• Enjoy problem solving
• Be a good team player and focused on consistently meeting deadlines
• Have a good working knowledge of standard IT applications, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Ideally have experience of working with a computerised stock management system, using handheld devices (either an ERP or WMS system)
• Ideally have a fork lift (Counterbalance or Aislemaster)/PPT licence or a willingness to obtain one

The role is physically demanding and requires a good level of fitness and strength to safely carry out lifting, moving and handling of goods
