Delivery Driver / Handyperson – Nailsworth Garden Centre

Location: Nailsworth Garden Centre
Hours: 4+ hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

An opportunity has arisen for a Delivery Driver / Handyperson to join the team at Nailsworth Garden Centre.

This is a varied and flexible role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and is looking for a few hours of work each week. You will support the Garden Centre with customer deliveries, general maintenance and a range of practical tasks across the site.

About the Role

As a Delivery Driver / Handyperson, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out customer deliveries safely and efficiently

• Loading and unloading goods, including plants, furniture and other garden centre products

• Assisting customers with deliveries and providing excellent customer service

• Carrying out general maintenance and repairs around the garden centre

• Helping with moving stock, furniture and equipment as required

• Keeping outdoor areas, buildings and equipment well maintained

• Supporting the wider team with practical tasks as needed

• Ensuring the delivery vehicle is kept clean and in good condition

• Following all health and safety procedures

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and happy to get stuck in.

You will ideally have previous experience in a delivery, maintenance or handyman role, although a willingness to learn and a practical approach are just as important.

You will need:

• A full UK driving licence

• Good practical and DIY skills

• A friendly and helpful approach

• Good communication and customer service skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organisation and reliability

• The ability to safely lift and move heavier items

• Flexibility to work additional hours when required
