About the Role

Highfield Garden World is looking for friendly, reliable and customer-focused Part-Time Cashiers to join our team.

As a Cashier, you’ll be one of the final points of contact for our customers, helping to make sure they leave the garden centre with a positive experience. You’ll be responsible for operating the tills, processing payments accurately and providing a friendly and efficient service.

We have various part-time contracts and shift patterns available, so this could be a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible hours around other commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Serving customers at the tills in a friendly and professional manner
• Processing cash, card and other payment methods accurately
• Ensuring transactions are completed correctly
• Providing a welcoming and helpful customer service
• Dealing with customer queries and directing them to the appropriate team member where needed
• Keeping the till area clean, tidy and well presented
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure the checkout area runs smoothly
• Following company procedures for cash handling and till operation
• Supporting the wider team during busy periods

Previous retail or cashier experience would be useful, but it isn’t essential as full training will be provided.
