General Assistant (Outdoor Leisure & Christmas)- Percy Throwers Garden Centre

Location: Percy Thrower’s Garden Centre
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time / Part-time
Working pattern: Including alternate weekends

Percy Thrower’s Garden Centre is looking for a General Assistant to join our Outdoor Leisure and Christmas teams on a permanent basis.

This is a varied role where you’ll help keep both departments well stocked, well presented and ready for customers throughout the year. You’ll work across Outdoor Leisure and Christmas, supporting with everything from replenishing stock and creating displays to helping customers and keeping the departments looking their best.

The Role

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Replenish stock and keep shelves and displays well presented
• Assist customers with finding products and answering queries
• Help with deliveries and moving stock around the departments
• Support with setting up and maintaining Christmas displays
• Keep the departments clean, tidy and organised
• Assist with stock checks, pricing and merchandising
• Support the wider garden centre team when required
• Help ensure customers have a positive experience when visiting the departments

About You

• Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude
• Reliable and hardworking
• Enjoy working with customers
• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
• Organised and happy to get involved with a variety of tasks
• A good team player
• Flexible and able to work alternate weekends
• Previous retail experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
