Front of House Assistant- Chenies Garden Centre

Are you friendly, reliable and enjoy working with people? Chenies Garden Centre is looking for a Front of House Assistant to join our busy restaurant team on a part-time basis.

This is a varied role where you'll help across different areas of the restaurant, from welcoming and serving customers to keeping the restaurant looking clean, tidy and welcoming. If you enjoy being part of a team and providing great customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Front of House Assistant, you'll be an important part of our restaurant team, helping to provide friendly and efficient service while supporting wherever you're needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, helpful service
• Taking orders and serving food and drinks
• Operating the till and processing payments
• Clearing and cleaning tables
• Keeping the restaurant and front-of-house areas clean, tidy and well presented
• Supporting with basic food preparation when required
• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties
• Replenishing stock and supplies
• Helping the wider team during busy periods
• Following food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures
• Supporting the smooth running of the restaurant throughout the day

About You

We're looking for someone who is friendly, enthusiastic and enjoys being part of a team.

You'll ideally have:

• A positive, can-do attitude
• Good customer service and communication skills
• A friendly and approachable manner
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• A reliable and flexible approach to work
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Previous hospitality or catering experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
