Chef- Chenies Garden Centre

Are you a passionate chef who takes pride in preparing great food and enjoys working as part of a friendly kitchen team? Chenies Garden Centre is looking for a Chef to join our restaurant team on a part-time basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys a busy daytime kitchen and takes pride in producing fresh, quality food for our customers.

Location: Chenies Garden Centre
Hours: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week, including some weekend work

The Role

As a Chef, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of our kitchen, preparing and cooking a range of dishes to a consistently high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting food to a high standard
• Completing preparation and mise en place for service
• Working efficiently during busy periods
• Maintaining consistency, portion control and presentation
• Supporting the wider kitchen team as required
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Ensuring food is stored, prepared and handled correctly
• Supporting stock rotation and minimising food waste
• Following all health & safety and food hygiene procedures
• Keeping your work area clean, organised and ready for service

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and passionate about food.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience working in a professional kitchen
• Good cooking skills and attention to detail
• A passion for preparing fresh, quality food
• The ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety
• A positive and flexible approach
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
