You'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the Home Department and helping the team deliver an excellent experience for every customer.

The Role

As Home Department Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Home Department Manager to ensure the department is well presented, commercially successful and delivers excellent customer service.

You'll help lead and motivate the team, ensuring high standards are maintained across the department while also getting involved in the day-to-day running of the area.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Home Department Manager with the day-to-day running of the department
• Supervising, supporting and motivating the team
• Delivering excellent customer service and leading by example
• Maintaining high standards of merchandising, presentation and housekeeping
• Helping create inspiring and commercially focused displays
• Supporting with stock management, replenishment and stock rotation
• Monitoring availability and ensuring products are presented to maximise sales
• Assisting with deliveries and ensuring stock is put out efficiently
• Supporting with promotions, seasonal changes and new ranges
• Dealing confidently with customer queries and resolving issues where required
• Helping ensure all company procedures around health & safety and security are followed
• Supporting the department in achieving sales and commercial targets

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and confident working in a supervisory retail role.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous retail supervisory or team leader experience
• Experience within homewares, interiors, furniture or a similar retail environment is desirable
• A strong eye for detail and visual presentation
• Excellent customer service skills
• The ability to motivate and support a team
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of what drives sales
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
• A proactive and hands-on approach
• Confidence working independently and making decisions
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for retail

You don't need to have worked in a garden centre before. We're more interested in your retail experience, leadership skills and enthusiasm for creating a great shopping environment.
