Kitchen Porter (part time)- Sanders Garden Centre

As a key member of the kitchen team, you'll help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring the kitchen is clean, organised and ready for a busy day of service. Position: Kitchen Porter
Hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week, including weekends

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play an important role in supporting the wider kitchen team and helping to ensure the smooth running of our busy restaurant.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
• Washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, tidy and well organised
• Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team with basic food preparation when required
• Assisting with deliveries, including safely moving and storing stock
• Supporting stock rotation and ensuring food storage areas are kept organised
• Emptying bins and keeping waste areas clean and tidy
• Following all health & safety and food hygiene procedures
• Ensuring equipment and work areas are cleaned regularly and ready for service
• Helping the kitchen team wherever needed during busy periods

• A flexible approach to your work, including weekend availability
• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
