Maintenance Assistant- Coton Orchard Garden Centre

Are you practical, reliable and someone who enjoys keeping things running smoothly? Coton Orchard Garden Centre is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.

This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same. You'll help keep the garden centre, buildings and facilities safe, well maintained and looking their best for both our customers and colleagues.

Location: Coton Orchard Garden Centre
Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday

The Role

As our Maintenance Assistant, you'll help with the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the garden centre.

You'll carry out basic repairs and maintenance, help identify and report any issues, keep the site safe and tidy, and assist with general upkeep across the centre. You'll also work alongside contractors when specialist work is required.

You'll be a practical, hands-on person who takes pride in keeping the garden centre looking its best and ensuring everything is working as it should.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman or similar practical role is desirable
• A practical, hands-on approach and good problem-solving skills
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
• Good attention to detail
• Comfortable carrying out general repairs and maintenance
• Able to prioritise tasks and respond to issues as they arise
• Good communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude
• A positive team player with a can-do approach
