The Opportunity

Trelawney Garden Centre is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our busy catering team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing good-quality food and working in a busy, customer-focused environment. You'll play an important part in ensuring our customers receive great food and excellent service every time they visit.

The Role

As a Chef/Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of dishes to a consistently high standard, while helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking food to a high standard
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented consistently
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety
• Keeping kitchen and preparation areas clean and organised
• Working as part of the wider catering team during busy service periods
• Helping to deliver an excellent customer experience

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and passionate about food.

You'll be comfortable working in a busy kitchen, able to work well under pressure and take pride in the food you prepare. Good organisation and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is preferred, although we would also consider someone with the right attitude and experience who is keen to develop their skills.

The role is 30 hours per week and will include Sunday working, so flexibility across the weekend is essential.
