The Opportunity

Matlock Garden Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Chef to join our catering team. This is a hands-on role, predominantly working within our Deli, preparing and serving quality food for our customers.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef looking for a regular part-time position within a busy and friendly environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for preparing and presenting a range of food to a high standard, while helping to ensure the Deli runs smoothly throughout service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
• Working predominantly within the Deli
• Supporting with the preparation of daily dishes and menu items
• Maintaining high standards of food presentation
• Ensuring excellent food hygiene and safety standards are followed
• Keeping the kitchen and preparation areas clean and organised
• Working closely with the wider catering team during busy periods
• Helping to deliver a great customer experience

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and passionate about food. You'll take pride in the food you prepare and be comfortable working in a busy environment.

You'll need to be organised, work well as part of a team and be able to maintain high standards throughout service.

Previous professional kitchen experience is essential, with experience in a deli, café or similar environment being advantageous.

The role will involve working Fridays, Saturdays and alternate Sundays, so availability across these days is essential.
