Temporary Food General Assistant- Great Amwell Garden Centre

Hours: 16–30 hours per week
Contract: Temporary, September – December
About the Role
Great Amwell Garden Centre is looking for a friendly and reliable Food General Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis from September to December.
Working within our busy Food department, you'll help to ensure our customers have a great shopping experience, while supporting the team with the day-to-day running of the department.
You'll be involved in keeping shelves and displays fully stocked and well presented, helping with deliveries, serving customers and making sure the department is clean, tidy and ready for our customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing friendly and helpful customer service
- Replenishing and rotating stock
- Keeping shelves and displays well presented
- Helping with deliveries and stock movement
- Maintaining a clean and tidy department
- Supporting the wider team with general day-to-day duties
- Following food safety and health & safety procedures
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and enjoys working with people. You'll need to have a positive attitude, be happy working as part of a team and be willing to get stuck in during our busy period.
Previous retail or food experience is helpful but isn't essential – we're looking for the right attitude and will provide training.
You'll need to be available to work between 16 and 30 hours per week from September through to December, including some weekends.
