Junior Sous Chef- Sanders Garden Centre

Location: Sanders Garden Centre
Hours: Full Time

We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join the team at Sanders Garden Centre.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie who is ready to take the next step, or a Junior Sous Chef looking for a new challenge.

You’ll be working alongside the Head Chef and Sous Chef to help run a busy kitchen, preparing fresh, quality food and making sure service runs smoothly. You’ll also play an important role in supporting and developing the wider kitchen team.

About the role

• Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Helping to lead the team during busy services
• Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
• Taking responsibility for your section and ensuring everything is ready for service
• Helping maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety and cleanliness
• Supporting with stock control and minimising food waste
• Helping train and develop junior members of the team
• Stepping up and taking responsibility when required

About you

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food, enjoys working in a busy kitchen and takes pride in what they do.

You’ll ideally have experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef and be ready to take on more responsibility. You’ll need to be organised, reliable and confident working under pressure, with the ability to lead by example.

Previous experience in a busy restaurant or similar environment would be an advantage, but most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a great attitude and a real passion for producing good food.
