Location: Barton Grange Garden Centre – part of the Blue Diamond Group
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available
Contract: Temporary, October to January

The Opportunity

Looking for a temporary role in a busy, customer-focused environment? We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to join our team at Barton Grange Garden Centre.

With our busiest trading period ahead, you’ll be part of a friendly team helping us deliver great food, excellent service and a welcoming experience for our customers throughout the autumn and Christmas period.

Full-time and part-time positions are available. Please state clearly in your application which option you are applying for.

The Role

As a Temporary Catering Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our restaurant and café, working alongside the wider catering team to keep service running smoothly.

Duties will include:

• Welcoming and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Taking orders and processing payments accurately.

• Preparing hot and cold drinks, including barista-style beverages.

• Serving food and drinks efficiently.

• Supporting the team during busy service periods.

• Keeping the restaurant and service areas clean, tidy and well presented.

• Following food hygiene and health and safety standards.

• Helping wherever needed to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with customers and providing great service.

• Is friendly, approachable and positive.

• Is reliable and hardworking.

• Works well as part of a team.

• Can stay calm and organised during busy periods.

• Takes pride in doing a job well.

• Is flexible and happy to get involved across different areas of the restaurant.

• Previous catering or hospitality experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.

• Barista experience would be an advantage.
