Hours: 18 hours per week
Contract: Temporary – Week Commencing 31st August 2026 to 3rd January 2027

We have two temporary vacancies available:

Vacancy 1 (18 hours per week):

• Monday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
• Sunday: 10:30am – 4:30pm

Vacancy 2 (18 hours per week):

• Monday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
• Tuesday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
• Wednesday: 11:00am – 5:00pm

Do you have an eye for detail, enjoy creating beautiful displays and love helping customers? Are you looking for a temporary retail role in a friendly, fast-paced environment?

We're looking for two Temporary Home Department General Assistants to join the team at Frosts Woburn Sands Garden Centre during our busy seasonal period.

Working within our Home department, you'll help create an inspiring shopping environment by maintaining high merchandising standards, replenishing stock and delivering excellent customer service. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.

The Role

As a Temporary Home Department General Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of the Home department, ensuring it remains well stocked, beautifully presented and welcoming for our customers.

From creating eye-catching displays to assisting customers with their purchases, you'll play an important part in delivering an outstanding shopping experience throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable and professional customer service.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising and visual presentation.
• Replenish stock and keep displays full, tidy and attractive.
• Assist customers with product advice and enquiries.
• Operate the EPOS till system when required.
• Print and display promotional POS material.
• Complete general housekeeping to maintain a clean and organised department.
• Follow action points from departmental reports and floor walks.
• Support the Department Manager with any additional duties as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in retail and takes pride in creating an attractive shopping environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A positive, friendly and approachable attitude.
• A creative eye for merchandising and presentation.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to work.
• Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
