Home Department General Assistant- Worlds End Garden Centre

Location: World's End Garden Centre
Hours: 20–25 hours per week, including weekend working

World's End Garden Centre is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Home Department General Assistant to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll help create an inspiring shopping environment while providing outstanding service to our customers.

The Role

As a Home Department General Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of the Home Department, ensuring it is well stocked, beautifully presented and maintained to the high standards our customers expect.

You'll help customers find the perfect products for their homes, replenish stock, create eye-catching displays and ensure the department remains clean, organised and inviting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service at all times.
• Replenish stock and maintain excellent product availability.
• Create attractive, inspiring displays in line with seasonal themes and promotions.
• Ensure the department is clean, tidy and presented to a high standard.
• Assist with deliveries, stock movement and merchandising.
• Price products accurately and maintain clear point-of-sale information.
• Support with stock rotation and inventory checks where required.
• Work closely with colleagues across the garden centre to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous retail or customer service experience.
• Has an eye for presentation and enjoys merchandising products.
• Is friendly, approachable and enjoys helping customers.
• Can work efficiently in a busy retail environment.
• Is organised, reliable and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
• Is flexible and able to work weekends as part of the rota.
• Has an interest in homewares, interiors or lifestyle products (desirable but not essential).
