We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Farm Shop Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of the Farm Shop at Holt Garden Centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with food retail experience who enjoys leading by example, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards in a busy retail environment.

The Role

As Farm Shop Supervisor, you will support the Farm Shop Manager in the day-to-day operation of the department, helping to ensure it is well stocked, commercially presented and delivers an outstanding shopping experience.

You'll play a key role in supervising the team, maintaining excellent food safety standards and driving sales through strong merchandising and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Farm Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.
• Lead the team in the manager's absence, ensuring high standards are maintained.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Assist with ordering, stock control, stock rotation and waste management.
• Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, well presented and commercially appealing.
• Support the achievement of sales and departmental targets.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and compliance.
• Coach and support colleagues to deliver excellent service and product knowledge.
• Assist with deliveries, merchandising and seasonal changes.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and organised department at all times.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in food retail, such as a farm shop, deli, supermarket or specialist food retailer.
• Has supervisory or team-leading experience, or is ready to take the next step in their retail career.
• Enjoys delivering excellent customer service and leading by example.
• Has good commercial awareness and understands stock management and merchandising.
• Is organised, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Has knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Is flexible and able to work alternate weekends.
