Plant Area General Assistant- Weybridge Garden Centre

Weybridge Garden Centre is looking for an enthusiastic Plant Area General Assistant to join our friendly team. If you have a passion for plants, enjoy working outdoors, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

Working within our busy Plant Area, you'll help create an inspiring shopping experience by caring for our plants, maintaining high presentation standards, and providing knowledgeable, friendly service to our customers.

Location: Weybridge Garden Centre
Hours: 40 hours per week | Alternate weekends

About the Role

As a Plant Area General Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of the Plant Area, ensuring it is well stocked, beautifully presented, and maintained to the high standards our customers expect.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be involved in everything from watering and caring for plants to merchandising seasonal displays and helping customers choose the right plants and products for their gardens.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service, offering advice and assistance to customers.
• Water, care for, and maintain the health and quality of plants.
• Replenish stock and create attractive, inspiring plant displays.
• Assist with deliveries, stock movement, and merchandising.
• Keep the Plant Area clean, tidy, safe, and well presented at all times.
• Ensure accurate pricing and point-of-sale signage is displayed.
• Support the wider team with the day-to-day operation of the department.

About You

• A genuine passion for plants and horticulture.
• Previous retail or horticultural experience is desirable but not essential.
• Friendly, approachable, and enjoys helping customers.
• Happy working both indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• A positive, reliable team player with a strong work ethic.
• Keen to learn and develop your horticultural knowledge.
