The Role

As a General Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of the garden centre, working within one of our retail departments. You may be based in areas such as Home, Outdoor Leisure, Seasonal, or other retail departments depending on the needs of the business.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll help customers, replenish stock, create attractive displays, and maintain the high standards our customers expect. Every day brings something different, making it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and being part of a busy retail team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service
• Assist customers with product enquiries and purchases
• Replenish stock and maintain attractive, well-presented displays
• Support merchandising and seasonal promotions
• Help keep your department clean, safe, and welcoming
• Assist with deliveries and general retail duties
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an enjoyable shopping experience

Previous retail experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided.
