We're looking for a Weekend Tills Assistant to join our welcoming team at Fosseway Garden Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, delivering exceptional customer service and being part of a vibrant retail environment.

As one of the first and last people our customers interact with, you'll play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience. Alongside operating the tills, you'll help customers discover the benefits of our loyalty scheme, answer queries and provide assistance wherever needed—making every visit memorable for the right reasons.

About the Role

As a Weekend Tills Assistant, you'll be an ambassador for Fosseway Garden Centre, providing friendly, efficient service while ensuring every customer leaves with a smile.

Your main responsibility will be operating the tills and processing transactions quickly and accurately. You'll also play an important role in promoting our loyalty scheme, confidently engaging with customers, explaining the benefits and helping new members sign up. Whether it's answering a question, recommending the next step or helping a customer carry purchases to their car, you'll always be ready to go the extra mile.

Key Responsibilities

• Serving customers efficiently and courteously at the tills.
• Providing outstanding customer service in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Engaging with customers to promote our loyalty scheme and signing up new members.
• Explaining the benefits, rewards and savings available through the loyalty scheme.
• Assisting customers with queries about products, purchases and loyalty membership.
• Helping customers carry heavier items to their cars when required.
• Keeping the till area clean, tidy and well organised.
• Processing transactions accurately while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure the garden centre runs smoothly during busy weekends.
• Supporting the wider team whenever required to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

You'll have:

• Previous retail or till experience is an advantage, although full training will be provided.
