Position: Front of House Assistant
Location: Grosvenor Garden Centre – (part of the Blue Diamond Group)
Hours: 20 hours per week, with some weekend work
Salary: Depending on experience

The Role

As a Front of House Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our customers. Working as part of our friendly restaurant team, you’ll help ensure customers receive great service from the moment they arrive.

You’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of the front of house, from welcoming and seating customers to taking orders, serving food and drinks and keeping the restaurant looking its best.

Duties Will Include (but not limited to):

• Welcoming and seating customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Taking orders and processing payments accurately
• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, including barista-style beverages
• Serving food and drinks to customers efficiently
• Providing friendly and attentive customer service throughout their visit
• Responding to customer queries and requests
• Clearing and resetting tables
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the restaurant
• Supporting the wider team during busy service periods
• Helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our customers

About You

We are looking for someone who brings energy, reliability, and a genuine passion for customer service:

• Passion for customer service and exceeding customer expectations
• Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with customers
• Pride in delivering a job well executed
• Able to work both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Attentive, pleasant, and friendly with both our customers and other team members
• Well presented with high standards of personal hygiene
• Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience preferred; however, full training will be provided
• Flexible and available to work both weekdays and weekends
• Barista experience would be advantageous
