Other New Plants for 2025

Blue Diamond Garden Centres have been working closely with breeders to bring you a selection of new plants for 2025, many of which are exclusive to us. The new plants will be launched at the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show and will also feature in our exhibit, 'Blue Diamond Garden Centres Immersive Garden and Showcase,' at the show.
This time we will be exhibiting in the Grand Pavilion (GPB 032), working with Leaf Creative to design an immersive, walk through, cottage-style garden which will serve to showcase a ‘treasure trove’ of never-before-seen plants.
Jill Kerr, Group Relationship Manager for Blue Diamond Garden Centres says;

Blue Diamond Garden Centre’s exhibit this year will really be a ‘treasure trove’! Full of never-before-seen plants to inspire and desire, whatever the budget. We pride ourselves in offering our customers a point of difference, high quality plants, many of which are home-grown in our UK based nurseries. We hope that visitors to RHS Chelsea Flower Show and ultimately to our Garden Centres, will find some real treasures for their homes and gardens, which are not available from anywhere else!

Geum FireStarter© Proven Winners® Color Choice®

Geum FireStarter© Proven Winners® Color Choice®

New UK breeding has developed this full, double, large flowered Geum. It was seeded from a mass crossing of various Geum cultivars and selected from around 500 plants.

The blooms are the deepest of red and this colour development on a full, double flower adds a new dimension to the range of Geum currently available. The rich, deep green foliage provides ground cover for much of the year.

geum

This Geum has a long flowering season for up to 3 months with excellent stem rigidity to hold up the large flowers. The long flowering season will give great garden performance and allow gardeners to get the most out of this versatile genus.

The Geum FireStarter can grow to 20-30cm in height, reaching 50cm flowering height on an established plant. It can grow up to 15-20cm in width with clump-forming over time.

Mandavilla Sundaville Verona Red

Mandavilla Sundaville Verona Red

Sundaville Verona Red brings a mediterranean feel to UK gardening and is a magnificent addition to the largest Mandevilla collection in the world. This new variety is the result of years of dedication and hard work to enhance and improve the classic features of the plant. It has a compact, floriferous, multi branching habit, is cool-tolerant and drought resistant.

Sundaville is early to flower - up to 3 weeks earlier than other reds and is easy to care for with fewer tendrils. From March until the first frost, the Sundaville® Verona Red blooms with a vibrant and glossy red colour that does not fade under the sunlight.

Verona Red is perfect on a sunny patio in containers from 10cm to large patio pots, all summer long. It looks perfect on its own or mixed with others. It can grow up to 35cm high and 25cm wide, and is easily maintained as no pinching or deadheading is required.

Mandavilla

Sundaville® Double Blush Pink

A real winner, the first double flowered Mandavilla with stunning double blush pink flowers with deep green leaves, smothering this plant from Early May right through to the late Autumn.

Plant both in a good, peat-free, multipurpose compost and apply feed every 2 weeks during the summer. Keep it well-drained and take care not to overwater. Bring inside to overwinter before the frosts come.

Hebe Lime Pickle

Hebe Lime Pickle

The vivid, lime green foliage with lovely purple flowers of this plant is perfect for attracting bees and other pollinators to the garden during the summer. It is an Evergreen shrub, so foliage remains for year-round interest.

Ideal for beds, borders and containers in a sunny spot in moist but well drained soil and protect from extended periods of frost. To maintain a wonderful shape to this variety, simply trim lightly below the flowers after flowering. It can grow to a height and spread of 60x60cm.

Nemesia Peaches and Cream

Nemesia Peaches and Cream

This beautiful plant produces wonderful, heavily scented blooms of pink and lemon that smother the plant throughout the summer months, creating an eye-catching cloud of colour and are again perfect for attracting bees to the garden.

It is a deciduous perennial that thrives in moist but well drained soil in a sunny spot in the garden. It is a fully hardy plant that flowers from early summer until the first frosts. Ideal for beds, borders or containers and prune in early spring if required to maintain a good shape.

It can grow to a height and spread of 25cm x 30cm.

Verbascum Peach Champagne

Verbascum Peach Champagne

New to Blue Diamond Garden Centres, this stunning perennial catches the eye with its upright spikes of peachy flowers that add vertical interest to sunny borders or cottage gardens.

Verbascum ‘Peach Champagne’ thrives in poor, well-drained soil and requires minimal nutrition to produce its impressive blooms throughout July, August and September. It will thrive in a sunny spot in the garden and is ideal for adding structure and height. This plant can grow up to 50cm high and a spread of 30cm.

These plants are mainly biennial, so although they usually self-seed freely, the plant will only live for two years. This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

Digitalis Apple Blossom

Digitalis Apple Blossom

New to Blue Diamond Garden Centres, this new foxglove presents triple flower power through its totally new, frilly, orchid-like flower shape; its unique blend of pale pinky-white lower flowers with creamy yellow upper flowers; and its exceptionally generous blooming; with a queue of secondary flower spikes already waiting to follow hot on the heels of the first.

‘Apple Blossom’ is low maintenance and easy to grow, promising years of flower power for very little effort. It likes well drained, moist soil in a shady spot in the garden.

Deadhead each flower spike regularly once blooms have faded as this will encourage more flowers and prevent seed production. It will grow to an ultimate height and spread of around 60cm x 40cm.

Fuchsia Patio Dancers Series

Fuchsia Patio Dancers Series

Fuchsia Patio Dancer varieties are best planted in patio pots where they can be proudly displayed. They prefer some shade from the afternoon sun if possible but don’t worry if not, they can take full sun too. Water regularly but don’t saturate the compost. Regular feeding will help keep the flowers coming. Naturally resilient so there is no need to treat for pests or diseases.

These stunning plants can grow up to a height and spread of approximately 40cm.
