Blue Diamond Garden Centres - Community Garden Competition

Blue Diamond Garden Centres have an exciting new initiative for 2024.

We want to help bring the great outdoors to the heart of communities across the UK. We proudly offer this opportunity to support local groups develop a community garden and invite them to pitch their ideas to us.

We share the same beliefs as Octavia Hill, the inspiration behind our multi-award winning 2024 RHS Chelsea Show Garden that, ‘the sight of sky and of things growing, seem human needs, common to all’. With this as our main focus, we aim to inspire others to create innovative outdoor spaces that connect people with the beauty and complexity of the natural world.

To be considered, your community garden project will need to:

  • Promote mental and physical health and wellbeing through its design.
  • Focus on education, sustainability, wildlife/nature-friendly gardening methods.
  • Bring wider communities together.

Once all applicants have been thoroughly explored and considered, we will award 5 winners with financial support, materials and expert advice to make their dreams become a reality.
