Till Operator – Tunbridge Wells Garden Centre

Location: Tunbridge Wells Garden Centre
Hours: Full Time, including weekends on a rota basis

A position has become available for a Full-Time Till Operator at our busy and welcoming Tunbridge Wells Garden Centre.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team and help provide an excellent shopping experience for our customers.

The Role

As a Till Operator, you will be one of the first and last points of contact for our customers, providing a warm welcome and delivering excellent customer service while processing purchases accurately and efficiently.

This is a busy and varied role that requires a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating tills and processing customer transactions accurately
• Providing friendly, professional, and efficient customer service
• Assisting customers with queries and directing them to the appropriate department when required
• Handling cash, card, gift card, and other payment methods in line with company procedures
• Ensuring the till and checkout area remains clean, tidy, and well-presented
• Supporting colleagues and other departments during busy periods
• Helping to create a welcoming and positive experience for all customers
• Maintaining accuracy when balancing tills and following cash-handling procedures

• Comfortable handling cash and processing transactions accurately
• Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills
• Flexible and able to work weekdays, weekends, and peak trading periods
