A position has come up for a Till Assistant at our busy and welcoming Fermoys Garden Centre.

Position: Till Assistant

Location: Fermoys Garden Centre

Hours: Weekend working, 4 hour contract

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team and help provide an excellent shopping experience for our customers.

The Role

As a Till Assistant, you will be the face of the garden centre, providing a warm welcome and delivering excellent customer service while processing customer purchases accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating tills and handling customer transactions accurately
• Providing friendly and professional customer service at all times
• Assisting customers with queries and directing them to the appropriate department when needed
• Ensuring the checkout area is clean, tidy, and well-presented
• Processing cash, card, and other payment methods in line with company procedures
• Supporting the wider team during busy periods
• Helping to create a welcoming and positive environment for customers

• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Comfortable handling cash and processing transactions accurately
• Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills
• Flexible to work weekends
