We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our restaurant team at Blackdown Garden Centre.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards throughout our restaurant. Working as part of a busy and friendly team, you will help create a welcoming experience for every customer who visits us.

This is a permanent position, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

Duties Will Include (but are not limited to):

• Welcoming and seating customers
• Taking customer orders and processing payments accurately
• Preparing hot and cold beverages, including barista-style coffees
• Serving food and drinks efficiently and professionally
• Supporting colleagues during busy service periods
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant
• Assisting with clearing and resetting tables
• Ensuring excellent customer service is delivered at all times

• Friendly, approachable, and professional with customers and colleagues alike
• Flexible and available to work across the full 7-day trading week
• Previous catering or hospitality experience is preferred
• Some barista experience would be highly desirable
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role
