About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting a range of high-quality pastries, cakes, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring they consistently meet our standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver an outstanding food offering in a busy and rewarding environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and other sweet treats
- Ensuring all food is produced to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials
- Maintaining consistency in recipes, portion sizes, and presentation
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering ingredients and supplies
- Ensuring proper stock rotation and minimising waste
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the pastry section
- Adhering to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
- Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
- Assisting with the preparation of food for special events and functions when required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or Chef with strong pastry experience
- A passion for creating high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
