Our Chief Executive, Alan Roper, has headed up the Group since 1999 and we pride ourselves on our exceptional staff retention and in empowering our staff to reach their full potential and enjoy a rewarding career.

The Role:

As the Outdoor Leisure & Christmas Department Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day running of two of our key seasonal departments.

For around seven months of the year, you will work within our Outdoor Leisure Department, ensuring stock is well presented, displays are attractive, and customers receive excellent service.

As we move into the festive season, your focus will shift to our Christmas Department for approximately five months of the year, helping to create inspiring displays, maintain stock levels, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Working closely with the management team, you will help drive sales, maintain high standards, and support the wider team across both departments.

This is a fast-paced and demanding role, but it allows for autonomy, creativity, and personal development within the department, too.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising, motivating, and supporting a small team within the department
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering to meet customer demand
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive environment for customers and staff
  • Providing expert advice to customers and delivering excellent service
  • Assisting with seasonal events and promotional displays
  • Follow guidelines on action points following reports and floor walks.
  • Print and put out POS material in the relevant areas

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a retail, or supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Leadership experience and success in that role.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in stock ordering and stock management.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Attention to detail
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude, with the ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • A creative flair

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Generous staff discount
  • Training and development opportunities
  • A friendly, supportive working environment where your skills and knowledge are valued
