Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours, Monday- Friday
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The Role

As Goods In Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full goods-in operation, ensuring all deliveries are received, checked, processed, and stored efficiently and accurately.

You will play a key role in maintaining stock integrity, supporting shop floor availability, and ensuring the warehouse and receiving areas are safe, organised, and compliant with company standards.

This is a practical, hands-on role requiring strong organisational skills, leadership ability, and a proactive approach to daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt, checking, and processing of all incoming deliveries
• Ensure stock is inspected for quality, accuracy, and damage on arrival
• Manage and maintain accurate stock records using EPOS/stock control systems
• Supervise and support the goods-in team in daily operations
• Ensure warehouse, yard, and storage areas are clean, safe, and well organised
• Liaise with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments regarding deliveries
• Manage stock discrepancies, returns, and delivery issues
• Support stock rotation, replenishment, and availability across the store
• Maintain compliance with health & safety and company procedures
• Assist with planning workload and prioritising daily deliveries

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a warehouse, goods-in, or retail stock management role
• Strong leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident using stock systems, scanners, and basic IT software
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Positive, proactive, and hands-on approach
• Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers and colleagues
• Forklift licence preferred (or willingness to train if required)
