Hours: Part Time – 22 hours per week, including weekend working

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Temporary Tills Assistant to join our team at Worcester Garden Centre. This is a customer-facing role where you will play an important part in creating a welcoming and positive experience for every customer visiting the centre.

You will be responsible for operating tills efficiently, handling customer transactions accurately, and providing excellent customer service in a busy retail environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating tills efficiently and accurately
• Processing cash, card, and contactless payments
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Assisting customers with general enquiries
• Processing refunds and exchanges in line with company procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organised checkout area
• Supporting colleagues during busy trading periods
• Following cash handling and security procedures at all times

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
• Reliable with a positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
• Confident handling payments and working with tills
• A good communicator who works well as part of a team
• Flexible and able to work weekends

Previous retail or till experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
