Position: Home Department Manager
Location: Holt Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group
Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours, including alternate weekends
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The Role

As Home Department Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and commercial success of the department. You will lead and inspire your team to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high visual standards and driving sales performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing the home department team
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Driving sales performance and achieving departmental targets
  • Creating visually inspiring displays that showcase our homeware and lifestyle ranges
  • Managing stock control, ordering, merchandising, and replenishment
  • Monitoring department performance and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Ensuring high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and compliance throughout the department
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and development of team members
  • Working closely with senior management to deliver business objectives

About You

We are looking for an experienced retail professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for home and lifestyle retail. You will have:

  • Previous experience in a retail management or senior supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • A passion for home, lifestyle, and visual merchandising
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales and performance
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
