Goods in General Assistant/ Driver- Worcester Garden Centre

The Role

We are looking for a motivated Goods In Assistant / Driver to join our busy stock team. This is a varied role combining goods in responsibilities with customer deliveries, ensuring our products reach both the shop floor and our customers safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading and processing deliveries efficiently and safely
• Inspect incoming stock to ensure quality standards are met
• Accurately record stock using EPOS/stock control systems and manage delivery paperwork
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse and yard area
• Support the Goods In Department Manager with stock control and supplier communication
• Manage returns and resolve stock discrepancies when required
• Deliver goods to customers using the company van, ensuring a high standard of customer service
• Safely load, transport, and unload items, ensuring they arrive in excellent condition

About You

• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail stock handling is desirable
• A forklift licence is preferred; however, training can be provided
• Full UK driving licence is required
• Confident and responsible when driving a company vehicle
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
• Positive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong team player with good organisational skills and attention to detail
