Home Department General Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Peterborough Garden Centre 
Hours: 8 hours every other weekend (4 hours Saturday & 4 hours Sunday, then alternate weekends off)

The Role

As a Home Department General Assistant, you will help bring our homeware, décor, and lifestyle ranges to life. This is a hands-on and varied role where creativity, enthusiasm, and attention to detail are key.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service
• Assist with visual merchandising and creating inspiring displays
• Support stock management and ensure shelves are fully stocked and well presented
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Assist with promotions, seasonal changes, and point-of-sale materials

The Ideal Candidate

• Passionate about homeware, interiors, and retail
• Customer-focused with a positive and proactive attitude
• Reliable and flexible, with availability to work weekends (every other weekend pattern)
• Strong attention to detail and high presentation standards
• Retail experience is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided
