Temporary Hardy Plants Assistant- Grosvenor Garden Centre

Location: Grosvenor Garden Centre (Hardy Plants Department)
Contract: Temporary – Spring Season
Hours: Full-time

We are looking for Temporary Hardy Plants General Assistants to join our team at Grosvenor Garden Centre during our busy spring season. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on horticultural work and wants to develop their plant knowledge in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Role

This is a varied and active role within our hardy plants department, focusing on outdoor plants, shrubs, and perennials. You will help ensure our plant areas are well-stocked, well-maintained, and beautifully presented, while providing friendly and helpful service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Watering, pruning, deadheading, and general plant care
• Assisting with plant deliveries, checking stock, and replenishing displays
• Maintaining high standards of visual presentation across outdoor hardy plant areas
• Supporting customers with plant advice and helping transport purchases to their vehicles
• Keeping the plant areas tidy, organised, and safe

About You

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have a genuine interest in hardy plants, gardening, and outdoor horticulture
• Enjoy delivering excellent customer service
• Are proactive, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team
• Are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Have good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Are flexible and able to work weekends when required

Previous plant knowledge or retail experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidates.
