Pastry Chef- Wilton

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Pastry Chef to join our team at Wilton Garden Centre. Not only will you enjoy an attractive salary, but you will also gain a far better work life balance as we have no evening work or split shifts. Some weekend work will be required to meet the demand of the business.

We are looking for a full time (40 hours per week) that has a real passion for high quality desserts. Our ethos is to provide a point of difference and fantastic customer service. We are proud of what we have already achieved and we truly believe we are market leaders in garden centre restaurants.

This is a hands on role and experience in a fast paced, high-volume kitchen and customer service skills are beneficial but not essential as all training is provided.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To work with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure business demands are met
  • Assisting with the monthly stocktakes accurately and on time, monitoring waste and ordering, stock control
  • Have a keen eye for detail and regular checking of ingredients and products to meet business expectations
  • To monitor and assist in keeping the department clean and tidy
  • To make and produce a show stopping range of cakes, sweet treats and patisseries.
