Front of House Assistant- Peterborough Garden Centre

Location: Peterborough Garden Centre Restaurant, part of the Blue Diamond Group
Hours: Flexible hours (multiple positions available – hiring 2–3 people), including weekend working on a rota basis

The Role

We are looking for friendly, confident, and enthusiastic Front of House Assistants to join our restaurant team. You will be the face of our restaurant, helping to create a welcoming environment and ensuring every customer has a great experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, attentive service
• Taking orders and operating the till, handling cash and card payments
• Preparing and serving hot drinks and beverages (barista experience is a bonus, but training will be provided)
• Clearing and resetting tables to maintain a clean and inviting environment
• Assisting customers with queries and ensuring their needs are met
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all front-of-house areas
• Supporting the wider restaurant team during busy periods

About You

Previous experience in a customer-facing or hospitality role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Barista experience would be an advantage, but full training will be given to all successful candidates.

Essential qualities include:

• A warm, friendly, and approachable manner with strong customer service skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and use initiative
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• High standards of personal presentation and hygiene
• Flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis (essential)
