Goods In Assistant- Newbridge Garden Centre

Location: Newbridge Garden Centre
Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Depending on experience

The Role

We are looking for a motivated Goods In Assistant to join our busy stock team. You will play a key role in ensuring the shop floor is fully stocked with high-quality plants, garden products, and outdoor living ranges.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading and processing deliveries efficiently and safely
• Inspect incoming stock to ensure quality standards are met
• Accurately record stock using EPOS/stock control systems and manage delivery paperwork
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse and yard area
• Support the Goods In Department Manager with stock control and supplier communication
• Manage returns and resolve stock discrepancies when required

About You

• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail stock handling is desirable
• A forklift licence is preferable
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
• Positive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Confident using stock management systems and handheld scanners
• Strong team player with good organisational skills and attention to detail
