The Role
We are looking for an experienced Goods In Department Manager to lead our busy goods in area. You’ll be the first point of contact for all incoming stock — from delicate seasonal bedding plants to heavy garden machinery and outdoor furniture.
This role is far from “behind-the-scenes”: you are the gatekeeper of quality and the engine that keeps our shop floor fully stocked.

- Quality Gatekeeping: Inspect all incoming plants and sundries, ensuring only the healthiest and best-quality products reach our customers.
- System Management: Accurately book in stock using our EPOS/Stock Control system and manage all delivery paperwork.
- Space Mastery: Keep the warehouse and yard areas safe, tidy, and organised to maximise efficiency and flow.
- Supplier Liaison: Handle discrepancies, damages, and returns with suppliers and the buying team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in warehouse management or retail logistics
- Holds a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (highly preferred)
- Has a can-do attitude and enjoys being hands-on outdoors, rain or shine
- Is comfortable using stock management software and handheld scanners
- Is physically fit for a hands-on role involving lifting and walking
What We Offer
- Competitive salary
- Generous staff discount
- Training and development opportunities
- A friendly, supportive working environment where your skills are valued
- Opportunities to progress within the Blue Diamond Group
