Plant Area General Assistant- Leaf Creative

We are excited to be recruiting for a Full-Time Plant Area General Assistant to join our team at Leaf Creative, a fresh and inspiring new destination for garden and lifestyle retail.

Hours: 40 hours per week, including weekend working

Leaf Creative is more than just a garden centre — it’s a carefully curated retail experience designed to inspire. Our plant area is at the heart of this vision, showcasing quality plants, seasonal interest, and expert care in a beautifully presented environment.

The Role

This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you will be responsible for maintaining the health, quality, and presentation of our plant area. You’ll ensure plants are well cared for, displays are inspiring, and customers receive friendly, knowledgeable support.

Key Responsibilities

• Caring for plants through watering, feeding, pruning, and general maintenance
• Ensuring the plant area is visually appealing, tidy, and well-presented at all times
• Assisting customers with plant advice and product recommendations
• Replenishing stock and supporting with plant deliveries
• Monitoring plant health and reporting any issues
• Supporting seasonal changes and promotional displays
• Assisting customers with carrying and loading purchases
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver an excellent customer experience

About You

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for plants and the outdoors.

• Interest or experience in plants and gardening (preferred but not essential)
• Enjoys physical, hands-on work in an outdoor environment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Full training will be provided to help you develop your plant knowledge and skills.
