Seasonal Plants General Assistant – Grosvenor Garden Centre

We are currently recruiting for a Seasonal Plants General Assistant at our Grosvenor Garden Centre. This is a great opportunity for anyone enthusiastic about plants, gardening, and delivering excellent customer service during our busy season.

Position: Seasonal Plants General Assistant
Location: Grosvenor Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible, including some weekends)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The Role:

This is a seasonal, hands-on position in our plants department. You will support customers, maintain stock, and help ensure our plants area is presented at its very best.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable advice to customers about plants, gardening products, and care

• Maintain the visual presentation of the plant department, including watering, pruning, and re-potting

• Receive deliveries, check stock, and replenish displays

• Assist customers with plant selection and help carry/load plants into vehicles

• Operate the tills and handle transactions accurately (if required)

• Support colleagues with all aspects of the plant department as needed

About You:

• Passionate about plants, gardening, and retail

• Able to deliver excellent customer service with a positive, can-do attitude

• Reliable and flexible team player, able to assist across the centre

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

• Organised, with strong attention to detail
