Group Development Chef – Savoury

Are you a passionate savoury chef ready to take your expertise beyond the kitchen and shape food on a larger scale?

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Group Development Chef – Savoury to help define, develop and elevate our savoury food offer across our centres. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who loves creating exceptional dishes but is ready to spend more time developing concepts, analysing data, and influencing menus across multiple locations.

About the Role
This is not a traditional kitchen-based role. Instead, you will:
• Develop and create new savoury dishes aligned with our brand and customer expectations
• Design and implement seasonal menu changes across the group
• Define and standardise portion sizes with strong control over consistency and yield
• Produce accurate menu costings and ensure strong gross margin performance
• Maintain and elevate food quality standards across all sites
• Analyse food performance data and use insights to drive improvements
• Support operational teams with implementation and training
• Understand what “good looks like” — and ensure we consistently deliver it

This role is influential and commercially focused. You will work cross-functionally, helping shape our food strategy while ensuring dishes are practical, scalable, and profitable.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
• Is an experienced savoury chef with strong classical and contemporary skills
• Wants to spend more time developing food rather than running a single kitchen
• Has a strong grasp of commercial menus, GP, and portion control
• Is confident in menu costing and understands the financial impact of food decisions
• Has a head for data and can translate numbers into action
• Is entrepreneurial in mindset — proactive, opportunity-focused and solutions-driven
• Understands brand alignment and customer expectations
• Is passionate about quality, consistency and innovation
• Can influence, guide and inspire teams across multiple locations
